The Buttafly Effect
The Buttafly Effect refers to the unique way in which the Buttafly facilitates a curative release of the spine.
The body and our organs are in a constant state of flux, seeking to maintain our biochemical and physiological pathways for optimal function. Our pulse and rate of respiration are obvious examples of homeostasis but what we don’t often consider is that our physical apparatus also tends towards a relatively stable equilibrium.
Using the Buttafly in a special way to offload the base of the spine facilitates a release of the whole length of the spine, and for many people, this can have a curative effect. It’s simple and effective, and in many cases, individuals have an emotional as well as a physical experience.
Having cured her own back pain that resulted from a fracture of her sacrum, our designer TillyLou James has brought the Buttafly Effect into her work as a physiotherapist and has come to the conclusion that it offers nothing less than a profound treatment, and as such, must be given due consideration with attention to detail before, during and afterward.
