For some, the Buttafly lays by their bed, ready for use as soon as they wake up in the morning. For others, it’s the first thing that gets packed when they go off traveling. There are those who’ve finally found something that they can do themselves to relieve their back pain.

The evolution of the Buttafly Technique and its profound effects tells a story about the spine and posture that we should all know.
Over the last 7 years, the efficacy of the Buttafly Technique for the relief of back pain and pelvic pain has been proven. As you will come to understand over the course of this day though, the Buttafly Effect reaches far beyond the spine.
We all know how important our back is. It’s also true to say that most people take very little care of it until pain or sciatica becomes a problem. How many people know that they have terrible posture, yet don’t do anything about it?
While complacency may play a part, often the main reason is they don’t know what to do about it. They may have read some books and tried a few different techniques but all without real, tangible change.
Loulou James is a Chartered Physiotherapist, Yoga Teacher, and Lifestyle Prescriptions® Health Coach, who is pioneering a truly holistic approach to posture, and the care of the spine and pelvis with her creation, the Buttafly .
“Reading” posture comes so naturally to her that for a long time, she found it difficult to describe. “I’ve always had this feeling that the posture comes from inside but it’s taken for my personal journey to unfold, and an exploration of the body-mind continuum for me to have the language to explain it.”
By the end of the day, Loulou aims for you to have gained clarity and understanding as to how posture is determined by both physical and emotional factors.
You will have gained practical experience and knowledge of how to rest, reset and revitalize your whole system with the Buttafly Technique.
You will be confident in how to practice a key breathing exercise to support a healthy spine and pelvis.
The improvement in your posture will be a consequence of these, a by-product of your internal shifts and changes. You will no longer have to work hard to stand up straight or otherwise correct your posture. Your posture will correct itself according to the wisdom of your body.
