The purpose of this page (new as of June 2023) is for it to be a central source of information about the spine and everything relating to it.

It’s designed for the layperson, though I hope to include material that offers a refreshing perspective for yoga practitioners and others who have studied anatomy and conventional medical systems.

Materials will include the anatomy of the spine, its relationship with other parts of the body, conditions that affect the structure, and cause back pain, and the art and science of healing.

Where appropriate. there may be the addition of material from external resources. If you feel you have something to contribute, please get in touch.

The awesome image above has been kindly provided by Veda Austin.

Veda has dedicated the last 10 years to observing and photographing the life of water, particularly in its ‘state of creation’, the space between liquid and ice.

What she describes as ‘crystallographic photos’ demonstrate that water reveals its awareness of not only Creation but of thought and intention through imagery.

This image is the result of a pregnant lady holding a small petri dish of water over her belly while meditating on the baby growing inside her. Are we looking at the early formation of the spine or the cerebrospinal fluid, do you think?

Either way, for me, this image encapsulates all that I mean in referring to the wisdom in the body.

I hope it excites and inspires you as much as it does me!

Wishing you good health and happiness,
