Harnessing the Power of the Natural Breath (OM Yoga Show—class)

Do you ever find yourself beginning a breathing practice before you’ve taken the opportunity to feel what your breath is already doing?

Breathing is a whole-body experience. With every inhalation and exhalation, movement travels through the ribs, spine and pelvis—even when we are barely aware of it.

In this experiential yoga class, we’ll turn our attention towards this natural rhythm and explore how the way we position and support the body can affect the freedom of the breath.

Using guided awareness, accessible anatomy and gentle movement, you’ll be invited to notice the relationships between breathing, posture and the spine from within your own body. We’ll become curious about what changes when we create more space, reduce unnecessary effort and allow the breath to move without forcing it.

This is not about learning to breathe “correctly” or mastering a particular breathing technique. It is an opportunity to rediscover something your body already knows how to do—and to experience how the natural breath can support movement, ease and presence.

Slow down, tune in and discover the quiet power within this simple, ever-present relationship.

Suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners, from complete beginners to experienced teachers. No previous knowledge of anatomy is needed.
